Security

Tailwind Storage systems take every precaution to protect your valuable data. If there is a disruption to your power supply, our systems offer 2 methods to back-up data.

Standard Procedure
  1. During a power outage, the internal battery starts to feed power into the JetSpeed module for 20 minutes.
  2. As JetSpeed detects the outage, it immediately backs up data to the Flash memory module.
  3. When power returns to normal, the data stored in Flash is restored to JetSpeed.
Optional Procedure
  1. The data in JetSpeed is synchronized regularly with SSD/HDD.
  2. During a power outage, the internal battery starts to feed power to the system for 20 minutes.
  3. Unless power resumes in 3 minutes, it closes the IO interfaces and starts to synchronize the remaining data into backup drives.
  4. When the backups complete, the system shuts itself down.
